Class Reflection

While taking Professor Brady's English 102 class, I realized just how much such passion and enthusiasm presented by a professor can impact the learning experience and view on a subject. Being totally honest, English was not one of my preferred subjects ever. Although I do not believe I was weak in the subject, I dreaded the long essays, especially due to the fact that I do not have the greatest time management skills. That is something I definitely need to work on in the future. Coming from my boring English 101 class, I did not know what to expect coming into this class. Professor Brady gives 110% every class and that is something that made me enjoy the class. Her love and passion for literature and English is so incredible and makes it very enjoyable to be in the class. I believe every professor should be so passionate and filled with ecxitement about every single class.
The way the class was ran was also very helpful. Professor Brady kept everyone involved in the class lectures. The fishbowls were a way of having everybody share their thoughts. Even though I did not participate in the fishbowls much, they were extremely helpful and taught me a lot because of the many various ideas that are expressed by the classmates. Thorough grading of the papers and written assignments were also a great help because of the very helpful comments and notes that Professor Brady left.
I learned a lot from being in Professor Brady's class. The subjects and themes discussed in class through the pieces of literature also relate to real life situations. Life lessons are most certainly learned through out the course. I have learned to really see and look through the perspective of others. I have also gained a greater liking for the subject matter because of being able to see and understand the true beauty of literature. I would 100% recommend anybody to take Professor Brady's course. If you have a dislike or negative outlook on the subject, that will most certainly change after being taught by Professor Brady.
